Partner Jonathan J. Lerner won dismissal of all claims brought by the Office of Attorney Ethics charging that the respondents engaged in fraudulent or dishonest conduct and that they failed to notify the grievant of receipt of funds from a third party. After a trial before the Passaic County District Ethics Committee, the complainant's appeal to the Disciplinary Review Board of the Supreme Court of New Jersey was dismissed in its entirety in January 2012.

Her injuries required complex surgery consisting of an anterior cervical microdiscectomy at C6-7, partial corpectomies at C6 and C7 for spinal cord decompression, and a interbody fusion with plate and screw fixation.

The claim involved a joint venture to sell insurance products. The arbitrator found that the respondent had committed fraud and conversion of joint venture assets.

The case was settled for $25,000 with the other driver, which was his policy limit, pre suit, and for $75,000, which was the maximum amount available in underinsured motorist benefits from his insurance policy, for a total settlement of $100.000.

On February 25, 2011, Partner Jeffrey A. Rizika settled a motor vehicle accident claim on behalf of a 21 year old college student from Rutherford who was injured when she was struck by a commercial box truck that was backing out of a parking spot. The student underwent a one level lumbar discectomy and annuloplasty surgery on her back. As a result of the injuries sustained in this accident, she missed a number of days from school, including a final examination. The case was settled for $100,000, which was the maximum amount available from the drivers insurance policy, on the eve of trial.

Partner Jonathan J. Lerner won dismissal of all claims brought by the Office of Attorney Ethics charging that the respondents engaged in fraudulent or dishonest conduct and that they failed to notify the grievant of receipt of funds from a third party. After a trial before the Passaic County District Ethics Committee, the complainant's appeal to the Disciplinary Review Board of the Supreme Court of New Jersey was dismissed in its entirety in January 2012.

The student underwent a one level lumbar discectomy and annuloplasty surgery on her back. As a result of the injuries sustained in this accident, she missed a number of days from school, including a final examination.
