Ronald L. Davison and Richard T. Welch are representing the landlord of a shopping center who leased space to a nationwide franchisor claiming that it fraudulently induced the plaintiff landlord to assign the lease to a shell entity which subsequently defaulted on the lease. The assignee has been forced into bankruptcy, and the plaintiff claims that the fraud scheme was perpetrated on a wholesale basis and involves numerous other landlords across the country. The case is pending in U.S. District Court.
