Jeffrey A. Rizika settled a motor vehicle accident claim on behalf of a 24 year old man who was injured while a passenger in a vehicle that was traveling at an excessive rate of speed and subsequently lost control, causing it to flip over and slide along on its roof. As a result of the accident, the client sustained substantial injuries to his right hand and fingers as well as well as to his head, left hand, right wrist, right knee, and is suffering from fear of driving and anxiety. The injuries to his right hand and fingers necessitated two surgeries to repair damaged nerves and tendons in the third and fourth fingers on the right hand, which necessitated a harvesting from his right hand pinky as well as ligament replacement from his other fingers. The case was settled for $100,000, which was the maximum amount available from the drivers insurance policy. The case settled while in litigation, prior to trial.
